Samuel Perry, a Texas licensed CPA, serves as the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer for Phoenix Capital. As Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Perry is responsible for coordinating the closing of all new investments, oversight of partnership investments and investor capital, investor reporting, compliance with SEC regulations and the overall day-to-day financial operations of the firm. Mr. Perry has over 20 years of experience in accounting and financial operations. Mr. Perry joined Phoenix Capital in 2011.
Prior to joining Phoenix Capital, Mr. Perry was the Controller of Tolleson Wealth Management for five years. At Tolleson Wealth Management, Mr. Perry was responsible for the operations and accounting of multiple investment partnerships, including oversight of annual audits and tax returns, monthly investor allocations, oversight of partnership legal documents and structure, and SEC compliance.
Prior to Tolleson Wealth Management, Mr. Perry was the Controller for Transcontinental Realty Investors, a diversified real estate company with over $1 billion in holdings and 130+ properties, including multifamily, commercial, hotels, land and multifamily development projects. He was responsible for SEC financial reporting, monthly review of property financials, accounting for numerous multifamily development projects and management fee calculations on purchase, sale and refinancing transactions.
Mr. Perry graduated from Harding University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting, and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas.
Marilyn Davis is the Comptroller for Phoenix Capital, a position she has held since 1998. Mrs. Davis’ responsibilities include assisting the Chief Financial Officer with day-to-day financial operations, including making and sending capital calls, closings of new investments, and an entire host of accounting and record keeping functions. Mrs. Davis has over 20 years of experience in accounting and reporting.
Christina Mastor assists the Controller with accounting and the sending of capital calls, distributions, tax returns and quarterly reports. She has been with Phoenix since 2013. Prior to joining Phoenix, Ms. Mastor interned at Sovereign Bank in the credit department where she worked directly with the VP of Credit, gaining invaluable experience in the banking industry. Ms. Mastor graduated from Baylor University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and a minor in Corporate Communication. Christina is a member of The Real Estate Council (TREC).
Debbie Leff is the executive assistant for Phoenix Capital Partners, Ltd. Her primary responsibilities are to assist in the day-to-day operations of Phoenix Capital Partners. Mrs. Leff has over 20 years of experience as an assistant. Prior to joining Phoenix Capital Partners, Mrs. Leff was an executive assistant for the Vice President of Mary Kay and Richmont Capital.
